Fancy doing an MGB GT as the next build Tom? I remember from the Alternator episode last September you mentioned an MG for the next build and what our thoughts were... ABSOLUTELY!!! The MGB GT is what I'd simply have to call a proper classic. It's a true British sports car for any car lover to get stuck into. Cool coupe looks, cheeky appearance, great sound, fun to drive and fun to own! It really was the car to have back in its days of production. Easy to see why eh? Compared to a Mini, there's more to them mainly because they're bigger in size, have a rear wheel drive set up and over all there's more to them. But still I wouldn't say they're that complicated, and as your willing to just have a go and learn as you go, you'd do just fine. (by the way, I admire your confidence in just having a go at things and because of that I recon you'd tackle an MG resto pretty damn well!) MGB GT's also fall under a reasonable price range, decent condition ones can go anywhere between £2,500-£4,000! Projects as much as a few hundred quid, I've even seen fully restored 100% immaculate MG's go for as much as £9,000!! Damn! Definitely recommend you get one though, and if you're gonna, get that Mini done quick because MG's are on the way up in value!
Interested? Any questions you may have feel free to ask and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Cheers, Torran (Project Classic Car)
